This is such a fun stage for our little munchkin! He has found out how to move so much more and it is so fun to watch him discover all his surroundings. We now have to really get our childproofing down because he gets into everything! We've found him trying to eat dirt, pulling cords out, chewing on the remote control, chewing on fenton's toys, and finding any little piece of anything and sticking it in his mouth! Here comes vacuuming every day! Day care has said they find him pulling up to stand and taking little steps holding on, and then he just giggles! He such a little cutie pie. Tim and I both agree if you are having a bad day or worried, all you have to do is spend time with him and it takes it all away! Lucas spent alot of time with Mommy this past month as Daddy was preparing for his interview at Alaska Airlines and Mommy had a bunch of days off so it was fun to actually be on a routine with him on my own! Mommy also found out you were able to pick out a few colors! Might just be luck, but I taught Lucas the colors yellow and red, and he was able to point to our foam letters in the bath tub that were yellow or red! So fun to teach him things! It seems like he really loves books and loves to learn, so far! :)
Here are Lukies other fun things that are going on:
-you were cleared to eat at 9 months anything that mom and dad eat - and trust me, you eat everything! you really have no foods that you don't like, its crazy! day care says you don't even look at what you eat, you just shovel it into your mouth!! Such a good eater!
-you absolutely love sitting and swimming in your baby pool on the deck
-you outgrew your infant car seat-- now in the big boy seat!
-when we put you down for naps, you end up sitting up when you wake up!
-first fourth of july!! we lit off a few fireworks just for you at home before daddy went off to work and you were amazed!
-mommy took you to Twin Lakes to spend time with your cousins, aunt, uncles, and grandpa and grandma for the fourth!
---floated in the lake for the first time
---sat in the sand, played and ate some of it, under Auntie Cassidy's advise
---loved all the action with all your cousins
---had your first taste of watermelon - loved it!
---had your first ice cream bar and cotton candy -- you said num!!
---first ride on the jet ski!
---whenever grandma wendy talks you start to wobble back and first (all because she says to you "wobble wobble" it is pretty cute!!! you are a little wobbler!
-you found out how to pull yourself up to stand from the floor!
-you say buh bye at daycare
-went mini golfing with daddy holding you in the ergo carrier!
-had your first bike ride in the bike carrier
-Daddy found out he got the job at Alaska Airlines!! :) yay!
