11 Months!

Lots of new milestones from 10-11 months! It was just last blog update from 9-10 months that we were shocked that you were sitting in your crib looking up at us, you have changed so much since then! I think with your gross motor skills you have changed the most dramatically! Lots of fun new things are going on in our house these days!! Lucas is such a busy little boy, into everything and trying to figure out how things work! He concentrates so hard on how to get things in and out, on and off, and is the cutest, most curious little boy! Here are some fun things in the last month!
-you had an allergist appointment, (weight 24.5# ufta!)- checked for dog, mold, ragweed, milk, dust mite and it all came back negative - which is a good thing, looks like we don't have to get rid of Fenton :)!
-you have began weaning yourself from the bottle! its crazy, when Mommy left for AZ you were on 4 bottles, then when Mommy came home you were on 3 bottles! And now you are barely wanting middle of the day bottle at 3pm and we will be down to two! Goodness, you made that transition easy on your parents! Mommy and Daddy also think your runny nose isn't as bad now that the bottles have decreased (maybe a link?)
-you fight us to change your diaper-- its a two person job now!
-Mommy left for 6 days for a girls weekend with Auntie Cassidy and Grandma Wendy-- Grandma  Ferol came and babysat you for a few days and then Daddy came back! Grandma Ferol stayed til Mommy came home so Daddy could finish the laundry room in the basement! You did great when Mommy was gone! And Mommy thought it was tough to leave you at first,  but- I knew you were in good hands so Mommy didn't have to worry so much!
-Grandma Ferol and Daddy found you standing in your crib!
-Mommy and Daddy took you to the Como Zoo for the first time! You weren't too interested in the animals yet, more of their cages and all the kids! Overstimulation!!
-Daddy left for 8 days to Nepal to help paint the Rescue Training and Development Center and to participate in the Nepali women's graduation - he had an awesome time and really enjoyed the whole experience
-You are so sweet when we put you to sleep, you stand up in your crib and walk towards us, then we say goodnight, close the door slowly, you smile, plop down and fall asleep to peacefully! Usually without a peep!
-You stand in the bath tub, and won't sit down! Mommy's coworker gave her bath tub seat to use and it works so well!
-You cruise around furniture pretty well now! Transfer from one couch to another, to a toy and to a chair!
-You prefer to brush your teeth at night on your own! No help from Mommy needed!
-You love standing and walking with your push behind shopping cart and walking toys! You do so well -its so dang cute to see you walking down the hall, smiling, giggling and being so proud!! We are so proud of you too!
-We are working on lots of fun skills and activities, putting balls in muffin tins, shoe box treasures, stacking blocks, colored water bott
les! So much fun teaching you things!
-Last but not least, you are finally crawling on all fours everywhere now, instead of the army crawling! I think that you will probably be walking without anything pretty soon too!
We are looking forward to your first birthday soon! Its going to come pretty fast!!!
