Baby Ireland #2 Due December 2015!

And we are back….with another announcement!!!!
Baby Ireland #2 due December 30th, 2015!!!
I wasn't going to return to blog writing and updates but I have really enjoyed looking back at the updates I made when I was pregnant with Lucas. It has been fun to compare how I am feeling and how things were going at different points in my pregnancy! So…I decided I better to keeping do it for Baby Ireland #2! (even if no one reads our blog! :)) and it might be a little less detailed but I still busted out the chalkboard for another round! I always said I would try and do the same things I did with Lucas with our next baby! So here goes nothing!

We found out we were expecting on April 24th, 2015! I calculated my due date and it came up right around Tim's Birthday! We couldn't be more excited to add to our family!!!

First photo of our little one! 8 weeks pregnant at our first OB appointment!

8-9 weeks pregnant in Maui Hawaii -- can't believe I was already starting to show a little bump!

5 year wedding anniversary and baby #2 on the way!

10 weeks pregnant! Baby was moving everywhere and his/her little legs were kicking like crazy - we could see a nice strong heart beat!

First Trimester complete, not the best photo ever!! Heard baby's heart beat at 14 weeks on the doppler! 158 bpm!

Lucas added to my chalkboard at 16 weeks!! Started to feel flutters/movement at 15 weeks!! So much fun!

Lucas loves posing for chalkboard belly photos! Heart beat 155 bpm!

Feeling great!
How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 5# total weight gain
Maternity clothes?  maternity pants all the time, or yoga pants! but still am able to wear my normal shirts
Stretch marks? Nope! using by hurts bees belly butter and mustela stretch mark cream! Never had any stretch mark with Lucas and he was 9.4#! The creams either work, or its good genes!
Sleep: we bought a new bed a few weeks ago, and it is amazing! nice king size with lots of space! Cant even feel Tim move anymore! No issues sleeping at all! Except a toddler waking up at 5:45 all the time!
Best moment this week:  Feeling baby move all the time with lots of flutters going on! and hearing the heart beat again at 18 weeks-- 155bpm
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything?  Drinking coffee/caffiene-- I have completey cut out coffee and caffeinated pop since finding out I was pregnant, Tim has coffee all the time and it smells so good!
Movement: little fluttering going on here and there!
Food cravings: jimmy johns, peaches, cucumbers
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope!
Have you started to show yet:  yep! showing much much earlier with this baby then with the last! makes me a little nervous!
Gender prediction: 99.9% sure there is another baby boy in my belly!! Feel almost the same way as I did with Lucas! We will find out in 2 weeks though!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and much more energetic

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender-- we will find out on Aug 12th whether baby #2 is a boy or girl!! We are very excited for that day and not sure if we will tell anyone yet when we find out. We both have no preference whether baby is a boy or girl. It would be fun for Lucas to have a brother to play with, plus we have a TON of baby boy clothes, toys etc! But also fun to have a little girl to experience a whole different side of things! Lucas for some reason really wants a sister! maybe the word sister is easier to say ;)

Its crazy how fast the time has gone and how I am already almost half way through this pregnancy! I felt really great up until 9 weeks which was perfect timing since we had just returned from anniversary vacation (I was so worried about feeling morning sickness on a long plane ride) !  Once we got back, I started feeling much more fatigued, some cramping, and much more nauseated and had lots of food aversions (vegetables, dinner time ha!) ! I even threw up once (which I never did with Lucas). This lasted from about 9-13/14 weeks and then once I hit the second trimeter all my symptoms disappeared and i have felt great! I barely even feel pregnant, except my growing belly and the fluterry movement going on! If the rest of my pregnancy goes this well, this will be a piece of cake! But I know from experience Ill likely be more uncomfortable as the time goes on, so I better enjoy it now and get lots of things done (like Christmas shopping!) before I get too big!
