The Irelands: 5 Weeks!

Happy 5 Weeks to Lucas!

Lucas continues to be growing a ton and learning new things each day! We've had fun this past week playing dress up with some of his cute little outfits that he seems to be already growing out of! He was also weighed recently and he now weights 11.6#! He is quite the big boy! This last week he has really been smiling alot more, mainly with waking up, going to sleep and when we talk to him! It is so awesome to see his big smile! He is also having more content awake time during the day! And he now loves his bath time as of this past week! He also loves taking naps in his swing. We are still trying to get him to sleep in the crib but its tough! We ordered a Miracle Blanket swaddle from Amazon to see if it will help him sleep in his crib at night -- not sure if its helping! He really doesn't seem to like his crib at all! We also think the gripe water has helped a lot with his gas! Lucas has started to have a little bit of a routine at night that he goes through despite what his parents would like! We started putting him down to sleep around 9 with nursing at that time, but then usually it takes a full 2 hours with 3 to 4x of laying down, crying, picking him up and walking/bouncing for 5 min or so then he fall asleep- we lay him down 5 min later he wakes back up again! Then usually by 11 he is sound asleep, then he will sleep til 4 or so, wake up to eat at that time, then he will sleep again til 7 or 8. This next week we will be traveling up to Grand Forks to spend Halloween with his cousins! So excited to have him in his cute little costume with his cousins!!
